    This is a superb accessory for the Festool Domino DF500. Using the domino upside down with this plate means that you can use the etched centre line on the base of the domino to line up with your marks, and this is much easier to see than using the line on the plastic window. You also don’t need to bother setting the fence height any more.

    The best thing though is vertical plunging into the face of a board around the edges. The domino is so much more stable when the whole fence arrangement supports the machine. A vast improvement on using the fence to reference off in combination with the flimsy plastic foot you get with the domino.

    As with all the other FC tools I own this is a solid, well made, well thought out piece of kit. I find that with prolonged use the domino fence can ‘wander’ a little, the domino plate gives consistent centred cuts, another FC tool I couldn’t be without
